The National Erasmus+ Information Day was held in Sarajevo at the premises of Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo, organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Information Day was organised in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the University of Sarajevo and was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, public and private higher education institutions, students and other relevant organizations in the field of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport. Erasmus+ started on 1 January 2014 and replaces funding programmes run by the European Commission in the area of education, training, youth and sport, including the Lifelong Learning Programme (Erasmus, Comenius, Leonardo, Grundtvig and Transversal), Youth in Action and other international programmes including Jean Monnet and Erasmus Mundus.

The Erasmus+ programme runs from 2014-2020 and supports activities in education, training, youth and sport across all sectors of lifelong learning including higher education, further education, adult education, schools and youth activities.

The aim of this event was to promote the opportunities in the field of higher education offered by the Erasmus+ program with specific emphasis on the following components; capacity building for higher education, international credit mobility, joint masters degrees and Jean Monnet activities.
