The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (ЕАСЕА) has announced selection results under Key Action 1: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees 2016. Unfortunately, out of 27 applications recommended for funding, there are no winning proposals including universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The list of projects selected for funding under Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees is available on the EACEA’s web page.

Among 147 projects recommended for funding under Erasmus+ KA2: Capacity building projects in the field of higher education, 9 projects (2 national and 7 multi-country projects) are to be implemented with participation of higher education institutions, ministries, agencies, NGOs, and companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Two of selected projects are coordinated by the universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina (University of Sarajevo and University of Travnik).

Good news! With funds left over from the first round of applications for Erasmus+ Key Action 1 International Credit Mobility, National Agencies in some Programme Countries will be opening a second round of applications.

Potential applicants are encouraged to consult their National Agency's website in the coming weeks to find out whether or not their country will participate in this second round, and with which regions of the world they can apply for mobility projects.

According to the information available, the following Programme Countries (National Agencies) will be opening second round for Western Balkans: Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, FYROM, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The second round of applications will close on 15 September 2016 at 12:00 noon (Brussels time).

Any higher education institution can apply, including those that have already secured funding for a given project, or those that did not apply or were unsuccessful in securing funding for the first round of applications.

More information regarding the second round of the call will soon be published on the Erasmus+ website.

edu1The workshop “Development and running of (internationalized and multidisciplinary) PhD programmes” was held at the University of Banja Luka on June 07, 2016. The event was organized by the University of Banja Luka in cooperation with team of Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE) and the National Erasmus+ Office in BiH. The workshop leader was Dr.-Ing. Michael Klimke, EU expert from the Technical University of Munich Graduate School. 

The aim of the workshop was to transfer European knowledge, experience and good practices to local stakeholders regarding organization of high quality internationalized and multidisciplinary PhD programs in English (e.g. development of multidisciplinary international study programme curricula, identification of possible partners, financial aspects, etc.).
